This 7 page essays provides an analysis of Lester Thurow's book The Future of Capitalism.. The essay argues against Thurow's basic premises which suggest that the American economy is going down hill and can only be corrected with investment in the infrastructure and education. Thurow's arguments are compared to President Clinton's proposals as outlined in his 1998 State of the Union Address.
